Dr. Morgens

"Never make your home in a place. Make a home for yourself in your own head. You'll find what you need to furnish it. Memory, friends you can trust, love of learning, and other such things. That way it will go with you where ever you journey. You'll never lack for a home - unless you lose your head of course..."

Dr. Morgenes (Dragon Bone Chair)
If you want something you never had, you have to do something different.

Peace.
it does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble
or hard work. it means to be in
the midst of those things and still
be calm in your heart

Falling In Love

"When it comes to love you need not fall but rather, surrender to the idea that you must love yourself before you can love another. You must absolutely trust yourself before you can absolutely trust another and most importantly you must accept your flaws before you can accept the flaws of another."

Perfectionism

The main phrase for the perfectionist is "not yet". This is because it's never quite good enough, or ready, or perfect as the perfectionist has imagined it. The perfectionist is constantly fine tuning, redoing, shaping, polishing, getting ready, adjusting, tinkering....The perfectionist will share his or her work, with others with huge explanations: "oh this will have more definition, once I finish this it will look much better". And at the slightest perceived comment or perceived criticism he or she will retreat back. "see I new it wasn't yet time to share it." So back to the drawing board, which could go on for years, until it's time again to try sharing what ever it is. Perfectionism is not about making it better; it's about not making it at all. Perfectionism is what stops many people from sharing their creative dreams, ideas, or reality with others. Perfectionists have unbelievably high standards to which they compare themselves and their creative dreams. Even a mild case of perfectionism can cause this. The blessings of perfectionism are that the work is often uncommonly good, if the perfectionist can just get brave or determined enough to share with a sensitive and insightful person.

Quote

"Quantum wellness is clearly not a ho-hum endeavor; it requires a willingness to constantly evolve and up-grade. So think about who you are now and where you'd like to go. Sit down and map out your day with the big picture in mind. And then reach for it.

Daily Alice

Oh great wide beautiful wonderful world

With the wonderful waters around you curled

And beautiful grass upon your breast

Oh world you are beautifully dressed.

From novel Little Big as recited every morning by Daily Alice

Quote

"I have known failures. Those I have run from taught me nothing. Those I got to know intimately permitted me quantum leaps forward. The failures are what deliver us to ourselves. You don't get real by playing it safe."

Quote

"All my life I used to wonder what I would become when I grew up. Then, about seven years ago, I realized that I was never going to grow up....that growing up is an ever ongoing process."
